Craft and Produce Fair and Malpas Monster Competition
May 6th 2019
On Bank Holiday Monday 6th May the first Malpas Village “Craft and Produce Fair” and “Malpas Monster Competition” at the Village Hall will be opened by Radio Cornwall’s James Churchfield at 10.30am. The May Day Fair will close at 2.30pm.
Malpas Village inhabitants, family and friends will exhibit for sale: their art work, pottery, wood turning, wool crafts, cards, pies, chutneys, jams and marmalades. The Social Committee will sell homemade cakes, Malpas jumpers, Cornish flags and toys.

There will be a “Craft and Produce” raffle donated from the items that will be on sale; the raffle proceeds are for the maintenance and upkeep of the Village Hall.

Anyone wishing to take part in creating a “Malpas Monster” should take their model to the Village Hall between 4.00 pm and 6.00pm on Sunday 5th May. The models should be made from reclaimed household materials or natural beach or woodland materials. The monsters will be judged in three groups: under 7 year olds, 7-14 year olds and 14-90+ year olds.
Tea, coffee soft drinks and light refreshments will be on sale throughout the event. The Heron Inn as always will have available a lunch menu. We look forward to seeing you with your family and friends at this interesting new venture.
